The Seminar

Before ‘rational’ medicine developed, illness and healing were believed to be the will of the gods. In this way people participated with healing and were not disconnected from it.

Such an archaic construct seems exceedingly outdated in the atmosphere of modern medicine; however, morality and disease are intimately entwined and as astrologers we are often asked about the mystery of disease and healing.

This workshop explores the relationship between fate, astrology and illness. We will look at the astrological indications of disease, reading symptoms, psychosomatic ills, ways to promote well being and how to find meaning in illness.

Day 1 - Symptom and the Soul
Destiny, Vocation and Direction
Saturday 4th April, 9.30am - 5pm

Today’s seminar will focus on the relationship between soul and symptom; how astrology helps address the significance of symptoms and encourages meaning, which in turn helps us to participate with our own healing. We will explore the astrology of well being beginning with important archetypal patterns and concepts such as Chiron and our healing journey; elements and temperament; the houses of health; planets, physical and psychological well-being and health and the moon.

Day 2 - Illness and Wellness
Substance, Character and Career
Sunday 5th April, 10am - 4.30pm

Today we will continue our examination of the interconnection between disease and healing, focusing on the astrological images that help us to consider wellbeing as well as its timing by transit and progressions.

 

Geoff & Narelle will help to create a beautiful space that will help to nurture the soul’s growth through this two day seminar.

Brian Clark is the co-founder of the Chiron Centre, now located at WellBeing at the Convent, a wing of the Abbotsford Convent dedicated to alternative healing therapies. He is the author of numerous articles, books and student publications which have been translated into French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish. In 2008 Esoteric Technologies have released the computer generated report Brian has written - Solar Writer Vocation report. Through Odyssey Tours to Ancient Greece Brian conducts tours to sacred sanctuaries, especially those dedicated to healing and divination.
