Verena’s focus is timely for astrologers with Pluto finally settling into Capricorn for the next 16 years. In 2009 the North Node also ingress into and retrogrades towards Pluto. Saturn the ruler of is building to its square with Pluto. This weekend Verena will focus on Saturn and the Lunar Nodes and their heightened significance and sensitivity during this transit of Pluto through, both individually and collectively.

February 7 Reworking Saturn with Pluto in Capricorn

Pluto’s passage through Capricorn will confront our liability and reliability on the deepest level. It will also test our ability to create and maintain structures and boundaries in a healthy way. And it will be Saturn, its ruler that we will need to understand more deeply to capitalize on the outcome of this transit in a climate of fear. How do we know Saturn and how might we begin to understand another face of this archetype that can assist us as Pluto challenges our relationship to the world, its rules, systems and leaders.

February 8 The Lunar Nodes: A Date with Destiny

The axis of the nodes helps us to focus on our authentic path, a valuable insight in an age of when genuineness, integrity and self management will be imperative. Understanding the Lunar Nodes gives us insights about our soul’s intention for life. They symbolize the gifts and abilities we bring along as well as the tasks we are asked to fulfil. In this workshop, we will explore the meaning of the nodal axis in our chart; learn what it shows us about our individual path of life, its gifts and challenges. We will also examine times in our life, when destiny intervened, and the role the Lunar Nodes played in those experiences.

Verena Bachmann is a well-known international astrologer from Zurich, Switzerland. This is Verena’s 12th visit to Melbourne to present seminars for Astro*Synthesis. Verena’s forte is synthesising the fields of astrology, Psychosynthesis and human development to aid in deepening our understanding of ourselves and others. Verena is also a psychotherapist trained in Gestalt Therapy and Psychosynthesis as well as an esteemed and well respected international astrologer. Recently her book on the Nodes (unfortunately in German) has become a bestseller in the German-speaking countries.
